Description
The Maravilla M40-CE ‘Negra’ has rosewood back and sides instead of Agathist. Compared to a regular classical guitar, the M40-CE Negra has a slightly shallower body and a narrower neck. Flamenco players are opting for this model because of its more pronounced basses and overall more robust sound.
This M40-CE Negra is equipped with a cutaway that facilitates playability in the upper positions. A built-in Fishman Presys Blend amplifies the guitar in a simple yet tasteful way. This pickup-preamp combo is ideal for both studio and stage work.
The M40 line is made according to the methods of the old masters from Spain with a thin top from European spruce and back & sides from Agathis or Indian rosewood. Typically “flamenco” is the slightly less deep construction of the body, the golpeador (flamenco pickguard) and the flatter neck angle. The latter provides the typical low action and thus the buzzing, almost rattling flamenco sound.
As with the other Maravilla guitars, this flamenco guitar is also equipped with a dual action trussrod enabling the action of the guitar to be adjusted. The Maravilla M40-CE Negra comes with a luxury gig bag.
