Description
Johannes T’Kindt was born near Ghent, Flanders, and studied luthiery at the International Lutherie School Antwerp (ILSA). During his studies at ILSA, he worked as an intern-apprentice with Stephen Hill, where he became familiar with the Granada style of guitar making. He moved to Spain in 2017 and established his workshop in Nigüelas, a small village in the Sierra Nevada, close to Granada. His flamenco and classical models are built in the traditional style but with a personal touch, always striving to improve the sound quality of each guitar. Johannes recently won the (shared) 3rd prize in the 7th Edition of the Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Building competition in 2024.
