Description
Darío García
The Spanish guitar maker Darío García (2002) was involved with music from a young age. He attended the conservatory for classical guitar and composition. Dario grew up in the workshop of his father, the renowned guitar maker Antonio J Garcia, where his interest was sparked. At the age of just 9, his father showed Dario how to build a guitar and taught him the fundamentals and tricks of the trade.
The influence of the Granada school is clearly present in all his work, but he also adds his personal touch to every instrument he builds.
His guitars are based on the construction of the traditional Spanish guitar, using building methods initiated in the 19th century by Antonio de Torres and continued by Ramírez, Santos Hernández, Enrique García, etc.
Dario makes guitars in various styles, for both classical and flamenco guitars, and will never compromise on the right materials in his craftsmanship. After years of working on his craft and qualities, Darío García won second prize for his flamenco guitar and third prize for his classical guitar at the prestigious Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Building Competition in 2023.
Dario’s guitars are currently sold worldwide and are highly loved by classical and flamenco guitarists!
