Daniel Stark | Española II Classical Concert Guitar
It is very rare for guitars in this price range to be as incredibly good in terms of sound and playability as the Española II models by Daniel Stark. After our first visit to Daniel in Germany, we were very impressed by his beautiful workshop and the quality and precise finish of his guitars.
The top is made of Spruce or Cedar. The sides and back are made of Wengé. Wengé is an African hardwood and offers a clear sound with a beautiful midrange reminiscent of rosewood.
His custom-designed bracing combined with the selected wood has resulted in a beautifully balanced and rich sound. Deep and powerful basses, singing trebles, and great playability thanks to the low action. Plus, individual intonation (G-string).
Incidentally, the same bracing is also used on his much more expensive concert guitars!
He has the Española II design built in Spain, after which they return to his workshop, where they are inspected by Daniel and fine-tuned before going to the guitarists.
The stylish rosette and bindings (Simplicio-inspired) make this guitar complete.
